high-performance plastic compounds makes now scratch-free shiny black surfaces possible, thanks to its new Schulablend™ M/MC 3501 co-polyester.

Elegant piano black high-gloss surfaces are in demand across industries and applications ranging from automotive interiors to household appliances to cosmetics. However, it is challenging to create a piano black solution that is perfect in appearance as well as being scratch-resistant.

A. Schulman has accepted the challenge and created Schulablend™ M/MC 3501 Piano Black 73265, a new co-polyester specially designed for piano black high-gloss applications. The new product is part of the Schulablend™ M/MC co-polyester product line, which is based on Tritan™ co-polyester from Eastman. This product line provides enhanced possibilities for specific performance requirements. The innovative combination of co-polyester with multi-component blends as well as additives offers safety and design freedom for tailor-made solutions in a variety of colors and property modifications.Schulablend™ M/MC 3501 SF Piano Black 73265 has been optimized in order to achieve excellent chemical, scratch and mar resistance while retaining important properties like high flowability or high notched impact strength.
