Milan, 1st December 2017 - The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a credit line of EUR 100 million to A2A, to be used in tranches with a duration of 15 years and an availability period of 36 months. The credit line is mainly aimed at financing investments in the environmental sector for the recovery of material and energy by sorted waste.

This agreement is in line with the European Union's objectives, giving support for the development of the circular economy with the implementation of the best available technologies that allow further improvement of environmental performance of the Group's plants. The planned investments confirm the continuing attention of A2A to a responsible and sustainable economy.

'The loan agreement represents a further consolidation of the relationship between A2A Group and EIB' - stated Valerio Camerano, Group's Chief Executive Officer - 'and it is in line with A2A's strategic plan, which includes significant investments in green economy, and the financial strategy aimed at increasing the duration of debt, diversifying the financing sources at a very competitive conditions'.
