• This is the highest award presented by the Club for Management Excellence and AENOR based on the EFQM model.

February 25, 2015 - Abengoa (MCE: ABG.B/P SM /NASDAQ: ABGB), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the energy and environment sectors, has been awarded the EFQM European 500+ Seal of Excellence, the highest distinction given by the Club for Management Excellence and AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification), achieving a score over 600 points.

The award, presented to the company's human resources function, is for its HR management model based on the highest international standards. It is recognition for the way that this function understands its people and performs in an area that is especially strategic for Abengoa, which employs over 25,000 professionals in more than 80 countries on five continents.

The presentation ceremony was officiated by Ignacio Babé, general secretary of the Club for Management Excellence and representative for the prestigious EFQM foundation in Spain, and Avelino Brito, director general of AENOR, the organization that certified the evaluation process, who jointly presented the award to Álvaro Polo, Abengoa's human resources manager.
