Bank is looking to step up its focus on developing innovative Transaction Banking products for Corporate Clients

13 September, 2015 - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a top-tier Islamic financial services institution has announced today the appointment of Haytham El Maayergi as Global Head of its Transaction Banking Business. Haytham joins from Standard Chartered Bank where he was Managing Director and UAE Country Head of Transaction Banking for 6 years Haytham reports into Arif Usmani, Global Head of Wholesale Banking Group, ADIB.
Haytham has more than 23 years of banking experience and has held several key roles around the region, starting with Societe Generale, and moving to Citi where he was Country Head of Global Transaction Services for Egypt, UAE and Iraq. Haytham also has experience in heading client coverage for Multinational companies and Financial Institutions during his career at Citi..
Commenting on the appointment, Arif Usmani said:

Haytham holds a degree in Computer Engineering and an MBA from the American University in Cairo.
