PRESS RELEASE Number of pages: 2 Accell Group announces departure CEO René Takens Heerenveen (the Netherlands), 9 February 2017 - Accell Group N.V. today announces the departure of René Takens (62), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and chairman of the Board of Directors. The decision was taken by mutual consent. Mr. Takens will step down as CEO and statutory director of Accell Group at the General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) on 25 April 2017. René Takens, CEO: "Now that the outline of our refined strategy is becoming more and more clear, this has created a natural moment for me to hand over the reins to this wonderful company. I believe it would be good for this strategy to be implemented under new leadership. It has been my privilege to lead Accell Group for 18 years and I believe this is a good moment to end this period. Although I will remain involved in the company for the time being, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my colleagues for the successful cooperation over the years." The timely announcement of René Takens' departure enables the Supervisory Board to carefully and diligently search for his successor. This process is being initiated. Hielke Sybesma (CFO) and the other members of the Board of Directors will lead the implementation of the strategy until the new CEO is appointed. René Takens will remain involved in the Accell Group Board of Directors until the AGM and will act as an advisor to the company after that date, which will help facilitate a smooth transition.

Accell Group maintains its forecast for turnover and profit for the full year 2016 as published in the press release of 15 November 2016. The annual results will be published as scheduled on 10 March 2017.
