Accenture's Duck Creek Claims Software Recognized by Celent with Two Industry Awards for Technology and Service

NEW YORK; Jan 7, 2015 - Accenture (NYSE: ACN)'s Duck Creek property and casualty (P&C) insurance claims software received two XCelent Awards in Celent's newly published report titled "Claims System Vendors: North American P&C Insurance 20141." Of the 31 core claims solutions profiled, Accenture Duck Creek Claims took top honors in two areas: technology and service.

The XCelent Technology award for the leading solution in "Advanced and Agile Technology," is based on several evaluation criteria including underlying architecture; configurability of the solution; methods to extend or modify the data model; approach to versioning and how this influences development, deployment and rollback of change; methods for testing changes, and methods for reuse of definitions and rules.

The XCelent Service award for the best solution in "Depth of Customer Service," uses references' views of implementations and professional services' capabilities and Celent's view of those capabilities to select the top performer in this category. This is the second consecutive year that Accenture has won this award.

"We are honored by this recognition as we believe it emphasizes our commitment to utilizing advanced technology to deliver software that enables carriers to perform at their best when customers need them most," said Michael A. Jackowski, global managing director of Accenture Duck Creek. "Having the right solution in place that handles all aspects of the claims process allows carriers to focus on what's really important - customer engagement and resolving claims quickly and accurately. By delivering on their policy promises, carriers can enhance satisfaction and build long-term relationships that impact retention and profitability."

As noted in the Celent report, "Accenture Duck Creek Claims is one of the most complete claims solutions available. There is a significant base of insurers using it for personal, commercial (including workers' compensation), and special lines of business. In sum, Accenture Duck Creek Claims has features, functions and capabilities for a broad range of insurers writing many types of business."

The ABCD Vendor View and report analysis is authored by Celent, a leading industry analyst firm focused on the application of information technology in the global financial services industry. The XCelent Awards are designed to help financial institutions and technology providers stay abreast of industry trends by evaluating the shifting vendor marketplace and awarding technology best practices.
