Accenture (NYSE:ACN) has been positioned as a “Leader” in the recently published report, “IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Oracle Implementation Services Ecosystem 2014 Vendor Analysis.”1 The report represents a vendor assessment, including both qualitative and quantitative characteristics, of the 2014 Oracle implementation services market.

IDC assessed 12 of the largest Oracle applications systems integrators for this report, which is designed to evaluate each vendor in two primary areas: capabilities and strategies. In naming Accenture as a leader, IDC stated that, “Accenture's size and global scale enable the company to maintain capability across all the Oracle product categories, with particular strength and investment in Oracle technology including analytics, engineered systems, Java, middleware, and mobility.”

“Accenture’s leadership positioning in the latest IDC Oracle Implementation Services MarketScape reflects our commitment to provide clients with innovative methodologies, tools, and accelerators that can lead to the rapid implementation of sustainable, affordable and predictable Oracle-based solutions,” said Terri Strauss, global managing director of Accenture’s Oracle business. “Accenture has assets and offerings aligned to each segment of the Oracle stack and we continue to make strategic industry-focused and technology investments in the Oracle platform.”

The report also notes that clients said Accenture was strongest in the following areas: provide functional insights and competence; ability to handle changes in project scope; and communicate the value of its services/solution and delivery methodologies/tools that clients are currently consuming.

"Oracle implementation services partners that are rapidly evolving their services portfolio to create vertical solutions around engineered systems; fulfill clients' customer experience, analytics, and mobility needs; and develop industry-specific cloud-based Oracle solutions and that are doing so by utilizing IP assets while keeping the core services portfolio intact will emerge as the leading providers in the Oracle implementation ecosystem going forward," says Ali Zaidi, senior analyst, IT Consulting and Systems Integration Business Strategies at IDC.
