Accenture Recognized on Working Mother's 100 Best Companies List for 12th Consecutive Year

Shelly Swanback honored as Accenture's Working Mother of the Year


NEW YORK; Dec. 08, 2014 - For the 12th consecutive year, Accenture has been named to Working Mother's Best Companies list which recognizes leading businesses for their wide array of progressive workplace programs.

This year, Working Mother profiled Accenture's Maternity Support Program which helps expectant mothers prepare for both the arrival of their children and their return to work through child care resource and referral services, women's networks and career management forums to assist in their transition.

"The success of Accenture's more than 305,000 people around the world is key to being a high performing business, and providing the support that enables our working mothers to thrive is crucial," said Nellie Borrero, managing director - Global Inclusion & Diversity, Accenture. "This recognition highlights the importance of supporting our working mothers in their career development and progression, as well as providing all of our people the tools and support they need to achieve their professional and personal goals."

At the Working Mother Awards Gala, Shelly Swanback was named Accenture's Working Mother of the Year. Based out of Denver, Shelly is a mother of two and has been with Accenture for more than 23 years. She currently leads global business operations for Accenture Digital and is responsible for accelerating growth and executing business strategy.

To compile its annual list, Working Mother assesses companies on aspects such as workforce representation, child care, flexibility programs and leave policies.
