Accenture (NYSE:ACN), working in collaboration with the Office of Executive Education at the MIT Sloan School of Management, is developing the Accenture Technology Executive Development Program. The new program will encourage thinking radically and differently about technology in order to bring innovative and disruptive solutions to clients.

The Accenture Technology Executive Development Program is Accenture’s first collaboration with the MIT Sloan School of Management and will give select Accenture Technology professionals a unique opportunity to learn from MIT Sloan faculty, Accenture Technology leadership and their peers. It focuses on the growing, changing role of technology within organizations and how leaders can harness technology to increase an organization’s agility as well as prepare for future demands.

“We are excited to work with MIT on the development of the Accenture Technology Executive Development Program, which we believe will prime the next generation of technology leaders for our company,” said Bhaskar Ghosh, group chief executive, Accenture Technology Delivery.

Paul Daugherty, chief technology officer, Accenture, added, “Technology is changing at an unprecedented rate and innovation is more important than ever. This program will help our future leaders stay on top of the changes and understand how new innovations can help our clients grow and stay competitive.”

The year-long program consists of three primary modules to help develop critical technology leadership skills: strategy, capability and change management. Each module combines learning activities and tools, such as work embedded experiences, Accenture Connected Learning classroom sessions and virtual instructor-led interactive learning sessions. The connected classrooms enable people from multiple locations to participate in interactive, collaborative classroom sessions taught by Accenture leaders and world-class subject matter experts from Accenture and beyond.

“MIT Sloan Executive Education welcomes the opportunity to work with Accenture on the development and delivery of this exciting program which will engage some of our top faculty, utilize an innovative blended curriculum, and builds on the longstanding relationship between Accenture and MIT in professional education,” said Peter Hirst, Executive Director, MIT Sloan Executive Education.

Employees who successfully complete the program will be awarded a completion certificate by Accenture in conjunction with MIT Sloan Executive Education. The first participants are expected to being the program in February 2015. This initiative continues Accenture’s collaborations with MIT Professional Education, including educational programs around business process innovations, software development, application services and analytics.
