Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has been named a leader in the business intelligence (BI) services market in Asia Pacific (AP) in a November 2013 report by Forrester Research Inc., a leading independent research firm. According to the assessment, Accenture delivers "large innovation initiatives" and is also able to "respond efficiently to time and cost sensitive customers."

In the report titled, "The Forrester Wave: Business Intelligence Service Providers in Asia Pacific, Q4 2013," Forrester evaluates eight companies against more than 53 criteria across three categories: current offering, strategy and market presence. Each of the eight vendors evaluated demonstrates significant traction in the global BI services market and a demonstrated presence in and commitment to Asia Pacific.

With regard to Accenture, the Forrester Wave states: "With more than 2,000 BI specialists in the region, Accenture is one of the largest BI service providers in AP; it has a presence in every major developed and developing market in the region. The company delivers BI projects including large innovation initiatives for multinational corporations, data warehouse implementations for regional customers, and managed services engagements."

According to the report, "Accenture's client strategy is driven by functions and/or industries to ensure that the insight-driven outcomes are relevant to the business." It continues by stating: "In China, [Accenture] is also successfully delivering an increasing number of deals that center on business outcomes. Productized data models, frameworks, and software assets also enable Accenture to respond efficiently to time- and cost-sensitive customers in Asia. Last but not least, its global information-sharing repository helps quickly deliver best practices from customers in different geographies to pan-Asian organizations from similar industries and with similar maturity levels."

"Accenture's designation by Forrester as a leader in the business intelligence services market in Asia Pacific, in our opinion, confirms our steadfast commitment to the Asia Pacific business community," said Sunny Chu, Managing Director in Asia Pacific, Accenture Analytics, now a part of Accenture Digital. "In today's digital world, analytics is at the core of driving business outcomes. For organizations to be successful on their journey to driving up analytics return on investment, they need to move from static reporting to what we call an 'issues-driven BI' approach - to ensure decision-makers gain access to intelligence rather than just more information."
