Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has been positioned in the “Leaders” quadrant in Gartner’s recently published “Magic Quadrant for Risk Management Consulting Services, Worldwide.”1

The Gartner Magic Quadrant evaluated seven providers of risk management consulting services on two primary criteria - “completeness of vision” and “ability to execute.” “Completeness of vision” evaluates risk management consultants on their understanding of how market forces can be exploited to create opportunity for the provider. “Ability to execute” assesses risk management consultants on their ability and success in capitalizing on their vision.

“Leaders demonstrate strong performance, gaining traction and mind share in the market with a clear vision and direction of market-building competencies to sustain their leadership position in this space,” said Jacqueline Heng and John A. Wheeler, Gartner analysts and co-authors of the report. “The consultants in this quadrant generally have global accounts and are globally interlinked, and they share superior market understanding, vision, holistic approaches and comprehensive and consistent methodologies and road maps. They have extensive geographic reach to support their on-site clients and have globally well-communicated, coherent and well-marketed sales offerings. They are also in the position to advise risk regulators. Furthermore, they are well-supported by tools and methodologies.”

Steve Culp, senior global managing director for Accenture Finance and Risk Services, said: “We believe Accenture’s positioning as a Leader in this report demonstrates our ability to apply our significant market understanding to the challenges facing our clients, introduce new risk analytics capabilities to meet client demand, and deliver highly relevant, integrated solutions through our Global Delivery Network. Our risk management solutions help clients restore profitability and increase controls, while also helping to improve their near- and long-term competitive position.”

Accenture Finance and Risk Services brings together Accenture’s consulting, technology and outsourcing capabilities and assets – along with deep banking, capital markets and insurance industry knowledge – to help clients address the inter-related challenges of external market volatility, rapidly evolving regulatory demands and significant internal complexity.
