Nine countries hold events at their headquarters or hotels on this emblematic day.

Australia, the United Kingdom, Spain and Portugal offered workshops aiming to better understand various disabilities and their place in a professional setting.

Brazil decided to let employees at the Sao Paulo hotels work on case studies in teams. The goal of this project, which has mobilizing 170 employees, was to brainstorm and put forward solutions that will make it easier to recruit and integrate people with disabilities.

In China, 11 employees with disabilities from the Novotel Atlantis in Shanghai talked about their experiences at hotels and headquarters. An NGO and a school for young people with disabilities had back their initiatives. This action has strengthened everybody's conviction that disability is no impediment to working in the hotel industry.

In France, theatre breaks took place at Odyssey, one of the Paris headquarters. Workshops on recruiting and integrating co-workers with disabilities were open to all employees. A round table concluded the day and went back over the highlights and the participants' emotions and reactions. Meanwhile, Atlantis, the French headquarters in Evry, gave a quiz and hosted a discussion to learn more about disabilities. The quiz winners received prizes at the end of the day.

In Germany, 10 employees with disabilities were at headquarters to share their experiences, and a training course to facilitate the integration of handicapped people was offered.

Last but not least, India unveiled a human resources action plan to recruit people with disabilities in 2015.

Once again, congratulations to the hotels and headquarters for their involvement!
