TAIPEI, TAIWAN (Jun 16, 2015) Acer announces that its chief technology officer (CTO), Dr. RC Chang, shall lead Acer's Design Center as Jackson Lin, current president of the Design Center, retires. The appointment takes effect on July 1, 2015.

Mr. Lin, who jointly holds the title of CTO with Dr. Chang, joined Acer in 1990 and has served at the company for 25 years in the core discipline of research and development. With a strong technical background, Mr. Lin led the Acer technology team to support the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Dr. Chang joined Acer in 2003 as CTO to drive and energize the company's technology innovation. He holds a Masters and Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering from the National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan, where he was also the professor of Computer Science.
