Dortmund, 18. July 2013 - evu.it GmbH's operations, focusing on consulting and development services for energy and water utilities, will soon be part of adesso AG's own product portfolio. The objective of this move is to integrate the long-established experience and outstanding expertise of evu.it GmbH's professionals and thereby bolster adesso's offering of SAP-related technologies. This merger will result in the creation of an independent business unit called "Utilities", which will be under the control of existing managing director Rainer Grempe with the objective of making even better use of synergy effects in the future.
Michael Kenfenheuer, Co-CEO at adesso explains: "adesso has also had a number of customers in the energy sector for quite some time, and we have worked with evu.it GmbH on several interfaces. The merger will mean we are now a single source for evu.it and adesso's services, enabling us to tailor our offering to suit clients' requirements even better."
Utility companies possess a lot of potential for specialist IT service providers as the sector's market dynamics require extreme versatility and adaptability from IT systems. In addition, augmenting adesso's portfolio with regard to SAP technology will also generate new opportunities in existing segments and
