IT service provider adesso AG has once again been recognised as the best employer in Germany's ITC industry in the "Great Place to Work(c)" competition (Category: "Over 1,000 employees"). The awards in the sector-specific competition were presented last night in Munich. adesso also took fourth place in the 501 to 2,000 employee category of the cross-industry, Germany-wide company ranking, in which around 740 companies of all sizes and across all industries participated.

Following on from the company's 20th anniversary festivities in 2017, its ranking in the Great Place to Work competition gives adesso a fresh reason to celebrate. adesso was recognised as the best employer in the ITC industry in Germany in the "over 1,000 employees" category (first place).

Kristina Gerwert, head of Human Resources at adesso, accepted the coveted seal of quality at an award ceremony in Munich last night. "We see this award as a confirmation of our corporate culture. With around 430 new hires last year, adesso has achieved stronger growth than ever before. This excellent result also confirms for us that the integration of our new members of staff has gone smoothly and that the values we live by, such as respect, esteem and recognition, resonate with our employees."

Frank Hauser, Managing Director at the German Great Place to Work(R) Institute, explains the survey: "The award is synonymous with a workplace culture characterised by a high level of trust, pride and team spirit. Attractive working conditions and a supportive culture of cooperation are key to commercial success and to managing important future challenges."

Great Place to Work uses two key tools in order to determine the most attractive employer from the employees' perspective. Firstly, it surveys employees anonymously on key workplace issues such as management, trust in collaboration, identification, team spirit, professional development, remuneration, health promotion and work-life balance. Secondly, it evaluates the quality of the measures that an organisation uses in its personnel activities to support and encourage its employees.

adesso was able to further improve its results in many categories compared to the last time it participated two years ago. The IT specialist did particularly well in the areas of team spirit, fairness, respect and pride. The full 100 percent of employees indicated to Great Place to Work that new employees feel welcome at adesso, and 99 percent stated that the work environment is friendly. Ninety-seven percent said that management personnel trust employees to do their job well without checking up on them constantly. Ninety-five percent indicated that adesso is a "very good workplace".

The IT service provider not only numbers among the best employers in Germany within its industry; the company was also honoured in the cross-industry "Germany's best employers 2018" competition. In that competition, adesso took fourth place nationwide in the category "501 to 2,000 employees".
