A group of Admiral employees recently attended Cardiff West Community High School to help transform the new school entrance for their pupils. The Head Teacher contacted Admiral to ask for some support as the entrance was looking tired and needed some tender loving care.

The team that helped out were all employees from Admiral from across different departments. They downed their office tools, exchanging them for gardening tools and got to work, weeding the courtyard, painting old guttering, painting over graffiti and sweeping up the mess. After a few hours of great team work, the area had been completely transformed!

Andrew Viazzani, Head of Recruitment at Admiral, said 'It was great to get out of the office and do something positive for the local community. I'm not sure the school would ever hire us to paint anything else though!'

Gillian Lee, Deputy Head Teacher at Cardiff West Community High School, said 'I just wanted to express my gratitude and thanks for all the hard work that the team from Admiral put in to help make our courtyard look so much better.'

Team building days at Admiral often involve charity work and supporting people or events in the local community. Ceri Assiratti, Admiral's Head of People Services, said 'I'm so proud of all our staff who regularly get involved with charity work on our doorstep. They are often the ones that come up with the ideas for helping out wherever they see a need - it's a pleasure to work with such generous people.'
