"It is with pride and determination that I continue my action within Aéroports de Paris. Over the next five years, I will pursue the objective of making our Group one of the global leaders in the design, construction and operation of airports. Within a highly competitive context, our second challenge will be to boost our competitiveness in order to attract air traffic to Paris and to make our airports as attractive as possible, in particular in terms of hospitality and quality of service," stated Augustin de Romanet.

The main projects initiated by Augustin de Romanet since his arrival within the Aéroports de Paris Group in November 2012:

  • Revival of the "CDG Express" nonstop rail link project

Since he assumed the chairmanship of Aéroports de Paris, with the support of the public authorities and, in particular, the Minister of State for Transport, Marine Affairs and Fisheries,   and Réseau Ferré de France, Augustin de Romanet has revived the plan to establish a nonstop rail link between the Centre of Paris (Gare de l'Est) and Charles de Gaulle Airport, "CDG-Express". Work on the "CDG Express" project is for commissioning in 2023. This project is a key challenge regarding accessibility to the airport and the ability of Paris and the Paris region to remain competitive.

  • Relocation of the head office of Aéroports de Paris

In order to develop the responsiveness and creativity, to adapt working methods at Aéroports de Paris in keeping with developments on the ground, and to better respond to the demands of passengers and airlines, Augustin de Romanet has proposed the relocation of the corporate head office, from Boulevard Raspail in Paris to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. The relocation will take place at the end of 2016.

  • Improvement quality of service

Offering an exemplary quality of service is one of Aéroports de Paris' strategic priorities. Augustin de Romanet wants the service provided to passengers and airlines to be in line with the best international standards. In 2013, the overall satisfaction index for passengers rose by two points, reaching a record level of 88%. Emphasis was also placed on providing a better service to Chinese, Brazilian, Russian and Indian tourists.

  • Continued growth of traffic and solid financial results

Having posted record traffic figures in 2013, with more than 90 million passengers travelling through Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly, traffic between the months of January and June 2014 rose by 4.2 % with a total of 44.8 million passengers transported. The Group posted satisfactory financial results for the 2013 financial year, with a 4.3% increase in revenue, to 2.7 billion euros, and a 4.7% improvement in EBITDA.

Furthermore, the Executive Committee has been strengthened and now comprises twelve members, in order to cover all of the Group's fields of competence.

  • The continuation of international development
