Aéroports de Paris

April 2015 traffic figures

In April 2015, Aéroports de Paris saw 7.9 million passengers; a decrease of 1.6% on April 2014. 5.4 million passengers travelled through Paris-Charles de Gaulle (-1.8%) and 2.5 million through Paris-Orly (-1.0%).

Traffic in April 2015 was doubly affected: firstly, by a calendar effect due to the Spring holiday dates for schools in the Paris area, which this year were from 18 April to 3 May, as opposed to 12 to 28 April in 2014; secondly, by industrial action by air traffic controllers on 8 and 9 April 2015.

  • International traffic (excluding Europe) was up slightly, by 0.2%, with a growth in the following destinations: Asia-Pacific (+5.5%); the French Overseas Territories (+2.1%) and North America (+1.0%). Three destinations were down: the Middle East (-1.7%); Africa (-2.4%) and Latin America (-2.4%);
  • European traffic (excluding France) was down (-2.3%);
  • Traffic within France fell (-3.8%);
  • The number of connecting passengers decreased by 1.4%. The connecting rate stood at 21.5%, down by 0.4 points on April 2014.

Since the beginning of 2015, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic has seen growth of 1.0%, with a total of 28.5 million passengers. The number of connecting passengers has risen by 1.4%. The connecting rate remains unchanged at 24.8%.
