Advanced Card Systems : ACS an Exhibitor and Speaker in Open Identification and Payments Summit 2015

HONG KONG, 24 Feb, 2015 - Advanced Card Systems Ltd. (ACS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Card Systems Holdings Ltd., SEHK: 8210), Asia Pacific's top supplier and one of the world's top 3 suppliers of PC-linked smart card readers (Source: Frost & Sullivan), will be an exhibitor and speaker in Open Identification and Payments Summit 2015. The event will be on 3-5 March 2015, in Real InterContinental, San Jose, Costa Rica. ACS will be in Booth 42.

Open Identification and Payments Summit brings together issuers and end users for information-sharing on smart card technology in payment, security, and mobile markets. It also covers public key infrastructure (PKI), national identification documents, challenges in transportation closed platforms and opportunities in open payments systems. The conference features education programs offering a wide range of expertise. It is organized by the Smart Card Alliance Latin America (SCALA), a non-profit, multi-industry association oriented to promote understanding and application of smart card technology.

ACS will exhibit its latest products: ACR890, a mobile terminal that supports contact, contactless and magnetic stripe technologies; ACR1252U, one of the first readers in the industry certified by the NFC Forum to be capable of performing all three NFC modes; and ACR3901U-S1, a mobile card reader that uses Bluetooth 4.0 to facilitate smart card transactions without physical connections to devices.

ACS will also talk about its end-to-end solutions. Bryan Javier, Regional Sales Manager, will conduct a presentation entitled, "TaptoPay: Transit in the Philippines and Beyond." The presentation shows how ACS technologies have been used to address the unique issues and challenges of the Philippine context, and how the same technologies may address transport issues elsewhere worldwide.
