FURTHER DELAY IN DESPATCH OF CIRCULAR

Reference is made to the announcement of AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited (the "Company") dated 31 March 20106, 20 April 2016, 5 May 2016 and 19 May 2016 in relation to, among other things, the Master Purchase Agreements and the delay in despatch of the Circular. Unless the context otherwise defines, capitalized terms used herein shall have the same meanings as those defined in the announcement of the Company dated 5 May 2016.

As previously disclosed, the Company expected that the Circular containing, amongst other things, details of the Master Purchase Agreements, a letter from the Independent Board Committee, a letter from the independent financial adviser, and a notice to convene the extraordinary general meeting would be despatched on a date not later than 2 June 2016.

As additional time is required to arrange for the bulk-printing of the Circular, the Company expects that the despatch of the Circular will be further postponed to a date not later than 4 June 2016.
