Moscow, 28 October 2016 - Aeroflot will operate its winter flight schedule from 30 October 2016 through 25 March 2017.

In total, the winter 2016/2017 season includes destinations in 50 countries, including 7 across the CIS (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Uzbekistan). Aeroflot will operate flights to 131 destinations, including 46 in Russia and 14 in other CIS countries.

Internationally, this year's winter timetable sees increased weekly flight frequency to Bangkok (from 7 to 14), Lyon (from 4 to 7), Guangzhou (from 5 to 7), Hanoi (from 5 to 7), Miami (from 2 to 5). Additionally, this winter season in the European market sees the launch of a new route to London Gatwick, which combined with an additional daily flight to Heathrow boosts the total number of flights to London from 18 to 32 per week.

Another 144 unique destinations will be offered by Aeroflot's code-sharing partners, adding an additiona 18 countries to Aeroflot's own route network: Albania, Algiers, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Ghana, Indonesia, Ireland, Iceland, Kenya, Luxembourg, Malta, Macedonia, Morocco, Myanmar, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia andTunisia.

In total, flights on 360 routes across 69 countries, including Russia, will be operated under the SU code.

Domestically, Aeroflot continues to focus on expanding its domestic network. A new route between Sochi and Simferopol will connect two most popular Russian Black Sea resorts and will offer passengers an unprecedented opportunity to travel to regions which are popular among tourists throughout the year. The winter season also sees the launch of another new route between Moscow and Syktyvkar with two daily flights on Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.

Aeroflot will increase the number of flights on high-demand routes including St. Petersburg (from 119 to 140 flights per week), Ekaterinburg (from 42 to 49), Sochi (from 42 to 49), Volgograd (from 28 to 35), Novosibirsk (from 21 to 28), Tyumen (from 21 to 28), Stavropol (from 14 to 21), Ufa (from 28 to 35).

Other Aeroflot Group airlines - Rossiya, Aurora and Pobeda - will also contribute to the expansion of the route network. These subsidiaries will carry passengers on additional 85 routes from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Sochi, Samara, Ekaterinburg, Makhachkala, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Together with these flights, Aeroflot Group will operate 216 unique routes across 51 countries.
