NEW ORLEANS, La. - Aetna Better Health of Louisiana today announced it will host a community outreach event designed to connect individuals and families to a variety of organizations in New Orleans and the surrounding areas that provide health-related services.

The Family Fall Festival will take place on Monday, Nov. 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Milne Rec Center, 5420 Franklin Ave., New Orleans, Louisiana, 70112. District 'D' Council member Jared C. Brossett will attend and assist with food distribution at 1 p.m.

In addition to family-friendly activities such as carnival rides and a petting zoo, the event will include free health screenings, HIV/STD testing and oral health education. Aetna Better Health also will provide 200 families with food to prepare Thanksgiving dinner, and representatives from 504HealthNet will be available to answer questions about local health care services and assist with Medicaid applications. Walgreens will provide free flu shots, and EXCELth Family Health Center will offer blood pressure and glucose testing.
