A delegation from Saudi Arabia visited the companies of Sistema JSFC

Moscow, 26 November 2015. - Representatives from public and private Saudi Arabian companies paid a visit to the assets of Sistema Group: Medsi's clinico-diagnostic centre at Belorusskaya St, a flagship Detsky Mir store at Vozdvizhenka St, the Nagatino i-Land business park and the agricultural assets of Krasnodar Agro located in the Krasnodar region. The guests from Saudi Arabia were given a tour around the companies and were provided with information about their market position, future plans and development strategies.

The Saudi Arabian delegation visited the Russian companies as part of the Saudi Arabian business week that started in Russia on 23 November 2015. The business week was organised to coincide with the official visit of the Saudi Arabian delegation to Moscow and was aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in such areas as power, infrastructure, housing construction, agriculture, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, tourism (including religious tourism), high technologies, banking, retail etc.

The Saudi Arabian business week includes a number of events, including the meeting of the joint intergovernmental Russian-Saudi Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation and the exhibition-forum 'Russia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - new prospects for economic and investment cooperation'. The exhibition will feature presentations from Russian and Saudi Arabian companies, round tables to discuss joint projects in various industries, and the signing of bilateral Russian-Saudi agreements and memoranda.

Vladimir Evtushenkov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sistema JSFC and the Chairman of the Russian part of the Russian-Arab business council said: 'The trade and economic relations between Russia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are gradually evolving, although there is still room for greater cooperation. The Russian business week in Riyadh, and now the Saudi Arabian business week in Moscow are landmark events contributing to effective cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia. The promotional tours and visits of delegations to the Russian companies organised as part of the business week are extremely important for facilitating informational exchange and fostering a relationship of trust and openness between the business communities of the two countries.'
