African Oxygen : News 2017-06-08 Afrox Appoints Chief Financial Officer

Matthias Vogt has been appointed to the Board of Directors of African Oxygen Limited (Afrox), as Chief Financial Officer, and takes up his position on 1 August 2017. He succeeds Dorian Devers who leaves the company at the end of July 2017.

Mr Vogt, 42, was previously General Manager for Finance at Afrox since July 2015 as part of the AFROX Executive Committee and played a key role in our company's 2015/2016 Swift turnaround ensuring Afrox derived? the optimum benefits and successfully implements Shared Services for large parts of his function.

Mr Vogt attended University of Oxford SAID Business School and is a Graduate in Business & Administration (Audit, Tax and Controlling) of the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences as Dipl.- Betriebswirt (FH).

Matthias Vogt, age 42, brings a wealth of relevant experience to the role of executive director.

He joined The Linde Group, Afrox's holding company, in early 2007 as the senior corporate controller for region Europe, Middle East and Africa, where he assisted with the development of Linde's controlling and reporting to meet the needs of the Executive Board and capital markets. Since 2010, he has held a number of senior positions with Linde including Head of F&A Shared Services Europe; Head of Linde Global Services for Business Process Outsourcing before joining Afrox in 2015. During this time Mr Vogt gained broad experience in transforming organisational and business processes. Furthermore, he has a strong finance and commercial background and understands the needs of dynamic and changing business environments. Prior to joining Linde he and held a number of finance management positions with Siemens AG for almost 6 years.
