Close integration meets specialized needs of nuclear medicine

The IMPAX for Nuclear Medicine solution is a unique combination of PACS, reporting, information management, advanced image viewing and processing applications for the nuclear medicine department. "Closely integrating with IMPAX, it allows efficient reporting of new studies, instant availability of prior images and reports and a shared reporting workflow between the nuclear medicine and radiology departments, for hybrid exams," explains Gilbert Hersschens, Global Product Manager Clinical Applications for Agfa HealthCare.

Specialized functionalities include processing, reading and reporting of all nuclear medicine, SPECT, PET and multi-modality images.Optionally, it can also be integrated with the Hotlab Management System.

The solution has already proved itself in hospitals internationally."IMPAX for Nuclear Medicine will allow us to easily consult and compare prior exams and data," comments Professor Ingeborg Goethals, Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department, Ghent University Hospital (Belgium), which recently chose to streamline its nuclear medicine workflow with IMPAX. "The solution is already being used in several sites in Europe, the Middle East and North America, so we were confident that it would also work well for us."

Designed to match workflow preferences of NucMed physicians

A new version of Oasis for IMPAX, whichoffers an advanced viewing and processing software covering the entire pallet of nuclear medicine imaging applications, will also be launched at the EANM congress.Developed in cooperation with partner SegamiCorporation, new integration capabilities allow it to drive the image management workflow from the Oasis workstation, in a unique and specific way that is designed to match the work preferences of nuclear medicine physicians. Thanks to the feature-rich clinical functionality of Oasis, physiciansno longer have to switch between dedicated nuclear medicine workstations and PACS, or manually synchronize patient study lists.
