- DX-D 100 DR systems to be installed in radiology department of Rafha Central Hospital in Arar and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the Maternity and Children's hospital in Gassim and Dammam. - The DX-D 100 offers excellent image quality, flexible handling and fast imaging that can be validated immediately. - Partner Gulf Medical Co. (GMC) provides service and support across Kingdom.
Agfa HealthCare announces that the Ministry of Health (MOH) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has chosen to implement three direct radiography (DR) solutions in three of its hospitals. One DX-D 100 mobile DR will be installed in the radiology department of Rafha Central Hospital in Arar. Two DX-D 100 systems with
DX-D 35C digital wireless Cesium Iodide (CsI) detectors will be installed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the Maternity and Children's hospital in Gassim and in the NICU of the Maternity and Children's hospital in Dammam to meet the high and stringent requirements of these departments.
Designed for mobile use, DX-D 100 can handle a broad range of general radiography X-ray studies, even for the least mobile patients. With very short exposure time, images are available and can be validated right after exposure.
Consistent image quality, high contrast detail and potential for dose reduction
The DX-D 100 comes with Agfa HealthCare's next generation MUSICA image processing software, which has been specially adapted and tuned to further enhance the excellent DR image quality. MUSICA delivers consistent image quality and high contrast detail, and CsI detectors provide potential for dose reduction, especially important for neonatal patients.
Top technology and support for the market
In addition to the benefits of the solutions, service coverage and support across the kingdom are provided for Agfa HealthCare solutions by Gulf Medical Co. (GMC).
"Solutions such as the mobile DX-D 100 combined with our unique next generation MUSICA image processing software have allowed us to position ourselves strongly throughout the Kingdom as the main supplier for mobile imaging solutions for all healthcare organizations," comments Mustafa Hamdy, Managing Director Agfa HealthCare Saudi Arabia. "At the same time, this is the 5th NICU agreement for Agfa HealthCare/GMC in the country, clearly demonstrating that we can deliver the best technology and support for this key market."
