Following the presentation of the ABSOLUT-ID roll-to-card concept to the market in 2016, Agfa and its partner LCsys, will showcase the latest developments in their integrated card manufacturing solution with live demos. Compared to the conventional distributed approach, the integrated manufacturing of highly secure cards delivers relevant cost advantages and dramatically reduces production lead time. By starting card production with the personalisation stage using Agfa's proven DTR technology, ABSOLUT-ID offers additional cost benefits on the level of security risk containment in production location and transport. Finally, ABSOLUT-ID allows to flexibly add security feature modules to meet the specific requirements of governmental and private card projects.

Agfa will introduce its PETix Silver Laser Personalisation (SLP) technology as an innovative security feature adding value to the existing range of the PETix card overlay materials. Using standard laser imaging equipment PETix SLP allows for card personalisation showing a silvery effect when the card is tilted. Already today, Agfa's PETix card overlay films contribute to the durability of cards thanks to their mechanical strength and resistance to high temperature and chemicals.

The value that PETix overlay films add to the durability of cards will be evidenced in a PVC-based card construction that Agfa co-developed with Bilcare Research, Italy. PETix not only extends these cards' life time but also broadens their options of laser engraved security including PETix SLP in particular. As a result, this construction presents the market with a relevant alternative for application as high security ID card.

Finally, Agfa will present the latest updates of its software design tools for the security of cards, ID-cards and passports.

Launched at this year's TRUSTECH, Agfa's innovative PETix Silver Laser Personalisation technology allows for card personalisation with a silvery effect when the card is tilted and thereby presents card manufacturers with an additional security feature using their standard lasering equipment.
