Ahlstrom announces price increases for building, wallcoverings and specialties materials

Ahlstrom, a global high performance fiber-based materials company, announces price increases on the materials produced by the Building and Energy business area. The price increases will be made to compensate for the continued high level of certain raw material costs and utilities-related inflation.

The price increases will affect the products of the Building and Energy business area worldwide and will be effective starting on January 1, 2015 at the latest. The increases will be approximately 10% on average, depending on markets, products and the agreements in place.  

Ahlstrom's Building and Energy business area products are used in a variety of applications including wallcoverings, floorings, building panels, composite reinforcements, automotive interiors, apparel, fabric care and wound care. The Building and Energy business area has production sites in six countries.
