Amsterdam, the Netherlands, August 29, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 2,490,000 Ahold common shares in the period from August 22, 2011 up to and including August 26, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of ? 7.8200 per share for a total consideration of ? 19.47 million. These repurchases were made as part of the ? 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 38,330,228 common shares for a total consideration of ? 350.41 million.
