AIA Group Ltd : AIA : Rafael Hui Resigns As Independent Non-Executive Director

AIA Group Ltd. (1299.HK) said Thursday its independent non-executive director Rafael Hui has resigned, with immediate effect.
Hui's resignation came after his being invited to assist the Independent Commission Against Corruption investigation, according to Hong Kong Broadcasters' report Thursday.
Hui, a former Hong Kong chief secretary, the second highest position in the city's government, was also earlier a consultant for Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd. (0016.HK).
Sun Hung Kai's co-chairmen Thomas and Raymond Kwok, the two younger sons of Sun Hung Kai's late founder Kwok Tak-seng, have been asked to assist an investigation by Hong Kong's antigraft body, the report said.
AIA said in a statement Hui has resigned "in order to attend to other commitments," and said Hui has confirmed he has no disagreements with the board.
