FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Lufthansa (>> Deutsche Lufthansa) aims to take over as many as 90 of insolvent Air Berlin's (>> Air Berlin Plc) roughly 140 aircraft and operate them under its low-cost Eurowings brand, Sueddeutsche Zeitung reported on Thursday, citing company sources.

That includes the 38 aircraft that it is already leasing from Air Berlin and all of unit Niki's planes, it said.
