French Labour, Employment, Professional Training and Social Dialogue Minister, François Rebsamen, was welcomed at the Airbus Group Pavilion by Airbus Group Chief Strategy and Marketing and GIFAS president, Marwan Lahoud, Airbus Group Chief Human Resources Officer Thierry Baril and other senior Group executives today at the Paris Air Show.
Minister Rebsamen was given a tour of Airbus Group's static display. At the centre of the discussions was the Group's commitment to provide development and training opportunities for young people. "We welcome around 2,800 trainees and a further 4,000 apprentices around the world each year," Thierry Baril told Minister Rebsamen during his visit. "We are seeking to develop talents and are already preparing the future by anticipating the resources that the industry will need tomorrow. Our future performance and competitiveness depend on it."
Airbus Group is a global leader in aeronautics, space and related services. In 2014, the Group - comprising Airbus, Airbus Defence and Space and Airbus Helicopters - generated revenues of € 60.7 billion and employed a workforce of around 138,600.
