On the occasion of the annual Airbus Suppliers Awards ceremony held during the Paris Air Show 2015, Didier Lux, Airbus SVP, Head of Customer Services, and Geneviève Laurens-Chassagne, Head of Supplier Support Management presented awards to Systems & Equipment suppliers who achieved outstanding levels of customer satisfaction and support performance.

The yearly 'Supplier Support Rating' survey is designed to recognize performance and commitment to customer satisfaction, as well as to identify areas for support improvement. To determine the shortlist from the 41 suppliers assessed, the rating process included inputs from 118 participating Airbus operators who together submitted more than 2,900 questionnaires.

The awards are divided into three categories: 'Gold', 'Silver' and 'most improved supplier'.

Gold Award: Airbus Avionics; Airbus KID System / Airbus Cabin Systems; Diehl Aerospace; Rockwell Collins Avionics and Thales Avionics.

Silver Award: Stelia (former Sogerma); Siemens; Diehl Aircabin; Sagem and Meggitt Sensing Systems.

Most Improved Supplier Award: Triumph Actuation Systems UK & IOM (former GE Aviation Systems).

"Customer voice and customer feedback are key for the industry, and this rating exercise is a 'win-win' approach," said Didier Lux, SVP, Head of Airbus Customer Services. He added: "Once more, the high number of participating operators in the survey clearly shows that the Airbus Supplier Support Rating is setting the standards within our industry."

The next rating cycle will be launched during the final quarter of 2015, integrating several improvements to better match with Airbus operators' current needs. Airbus takes the rating feedback as a basis to drive the suppliers' support improvements by ensuring dedicated actions are launched by the suppliers. This benefits the operators of Airbus fleet all over the world.

Note: Cabin Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) suppliers received their awards earlier this year at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany. Engine manufacturers were not included in the Supplier Support Rating this year.
