AIXTRON SE (ISIN DE000A0WMPJ6) is increasing its share capital by approximately 10.0 per cent through use of authorized capital and excluding shareholders' subscription rights.

The 10,223,133 new registered shares (shares without par value) were subscribed by investors via an accelerated bookbuilding process. The placement price was € 9.90 per share. The gross proceeds for the Company from the capital increase amount to approximately € 101 million. The proceeds from the issue will be used to further strengthen the Company's technological leadership by selectively investing in additional growth areas for the Company, including projects related to technologies for the manufacturing of Power Electronics, Organic LEDs (OLEDs) and Silicon Semiconductor applications. Additionally, the capital increase will strengthen the financial flexibility of AIXTRON by reinforcing its balance sheet and cash position.

The new shares will be admitted for trading without a sales prospectus in the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange with a simultaneous listing in the Prime Standard segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, which has enhanced disclosure obligations. The shares qualify for a dividend from January 1, 2013. The delivery of the new shares and settlement is expected to occur on Tuesday, October 29, 2013.
