Alaska Air : Reports August 2014 Operational Results

SEATTLE, Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Alaska Air Group Inc. (NYSE: ALK) today reported August and year-to-date operational results on a consolidated basis, and for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. Detailed information is provided below.
AIR GROUP
On a combined basis, Air Group reported a 6.8 percent increase in traffic on a 7.5 percent increase in capacity compared to August 2013. Load factor decreased 0.5 points to 87.3 percent. These statistics include flights operated by Alaska and those under capacity purchase agreements, including Horizon, SkyWest Airlines and PenAir.

ALASKA AIRLINES - MAINLINE
Alaska reported a 6.2 percent increase in traffic on a 6.6 percent increase in capacity compared to August 2013. Load factor decreased 0.4 points to 87.6 percent. Alaska also reported 83.8 percent of its flights arrived on-time in August, compared to 85.1 percent reported in August 2013.

HORIZON AIR
Horizon reported a 3.5 percent increase in August traffic on a 7.6 percent increase in capacity compared to August 2013. Load factor decreased 3.3 points to 82.3 percent. Horizon also reported 88.4 percent of its flights arrived on-time in August, compared to the 86.7 percent reported in August 2013.
