We architected an extensible platform that delivered massive network automation and virtualization first in the data center where the requirement is most pronounced due to the onset of cloud computing, and over time would extend to the wide area, and later even further in the campus network.  In April of 2013, we launched our SDN venture, Nuage Networks and delivered the industry's most comprehensive, SDN solution that leap-frogged the early SDN solutions. We called our solution the Virtualized Services Platform (VSP), and it delivers scalable multi-tenanted virtualization and network automation on any existing network infrastructure.  And all of this is done under a comprehensive policy framework, with full analytics capability. With the Nuage Networks VSP solution, we instantly brought the network in sync with compute virtualization.

Since then, we have continued to identify and remove network constraints that get in the way of creating agile and distributed cloud environments. We have been in many design discussions with large enterprises and service providers who have virtualized their compute, but have been living the pain of a data center network that is not agile, not response, and not programmable. A network that is in the way of the cloud, and the agility that it demands.

With our VSP and our 7850 Virtualized Services Gateway (VSG) we have brought the network in sync with virtualized compute environments, and have delivered automation with a comprehensive policy framework that can address both virtualized and physical workloads. CIO's have instantly latched onto this value, and in just one year since our launch, we have successfully completed over 30 customer trials. Even better, the Nuage Networks solution has been selected by leading global companies that include large financial and healthcare companies such as UPMC, cloud providers like Numergy, telecommunications providers like NTT Communications and TELUS, and infrastructure providers like IDC Frontier Inc. and Evonet.

Our philosophy has always been to build integrated and open multi-vendor solutions that can support ever-growing hybrid cloud environments, and this is what we have done. Not only do we believe that an open and multi-vendor approach is critical to SDN advancement, but that for customers multi-hypervisor hybrid cloud environments will be a reality of business that we must address. And we are the only solution in the industry that has done so thus far.

We have made great progress over the last year, and in 2014, Nuage Networks plans to continue driving innovation and responding to virtualization challenges in the network. We will continue to foster collaboration and an open approach to accelerate and improve SDN deployments that are agile, responsive, and automated under a comprehensive policy framework.
