Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) has appointed Ichwan F. Agus as the new Country Senior Officer for Indonesia, with the appointment effective on April 1, 2015.

Mr. Agus joins Alcatel-Lucent from PT Cisco Systems, where he was a customer account director. In more than 17 years at the company he held a number of senior management positions and established strong working relationships throughout the ICT industry in Indonesia. This included participating in the building of the country's national ICT plan, and presenting at national technology conferences and universities.

Mr. Agus attended the Institute of Technology in Bandung from 1989 to 1994. During this time he spent two years at the Inter University Center for microelectronics, where he co-founded the Computer Network Research Group, and led a project to build the first national IP backbone using packet radio technology to connect six universities across six cities in Indonesia.
