Aliansce Shopping Centers (ALSC3) announces acquisition of site adjacent to Boulevard Shopping Belo Horizonte
Rio de Janeiro, January 31, 2013 - Aliansce Shopping Centers S.A. (Bovespa: ALSC3) announces the acquisition of a site adjacent to Boulevard Belo Horizonte. The owners of the mall acquired the site with a total area of 2,633 sqm for R$18 million, paid in cash.
Aliansce owns 70% of the mall and of the site. The acquisition allows for future expansions in the mall and mix-use development projects. The site constitutes the only additional area that exists in the block occupied by the mall.
Boulevard Shopping Belo Horizonte opened in October 2010, and today has 43,064 sqm of GLA and 200 stores. The asset is the second largest mall of Belo Horizonte in terms of GLA. In 2012 the mall achieved same store sales growth (SSS) of 20.4%, and same store rent (SSR) of 9.5%. Total sales in 4Q12 averaged R$1,050 per sqm, and sales of in-line stores R$1,850.
In February 2013 we will deliver a Triple A tower of 17 floors above the mall, which will bring even more value to the asset. Aliansce owns 100% of the commercial tower.
