Alkomet Shumen : The University of Shumen has given the honorary title “Doctor Honoris Causa” to Fikret Ince

Shumen University 'Bishop Konstantin Preslavski' has given the honorary title 'Doctor Honoris Causa' to Fikret Ince. He is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alcomet AD. The Academic council took the decision with full members support during its session on 28 of October, 2016.

This was announced today during the celebration of the metallurgist professional day and 35 years since Alcomet`s establishment. The rector of the university prof. PhD Georgi Kolev has made the formal announcement.

Fikret Indje is member of Shumen University board. He received the highest academic title for the long years of successful partnership which is an example of a great cooperation between business and higher education. In addition to that, for his help and activities related to the academic community.

'Alcomet AD gives 10 scholarships per year for students from different faculties and one individual scholarship from Mr. Fikret Ince for 2000 leva. Over the whole period the university has received numerous donations for different events related to the students` education. Last investment which is more than 10,000 leva is for a cabinet called 'Programming of Simens-controllers', created for preparation of students in 'Computer technologies for production automation'. Alcomet also opens its facilities for students from the engineering faculties', said prof. Kolev, Shumen University rector in front of Shum.bg.

Since 2011 Mr. Ince is an honorary holder of the title 'Honorable member of the Shumen University academic community'
