Catastrophe losses occurring in August comprised 10 events at an estimated cost of $144 million, pre-tax, plus unfavorable reserve reestimates of prior reported catastrophe losses. Estimated catastrophe losses for the months of July and August 2016 total $407 million, pre-tax ($265 million after-tax).
