NORTHBROOK, Ill., October 12, 2016 - Now that Hurricane Matthew has moved out to sea, Allstate's National Catastrophe Team is moving in to help customers in damaged communities from Florida to Virginia. One of the first mobile claim centers to open is located at 20 Gateway Village Road (Home Depot parking lot) in Bluffton, SC, with additional mobile claim offices set to open in Florence, SC, Jacksonville Beach, FL, and Savannah, GA. Adjusters will be using smaller, more nimble catastrophe response vehicles to canvass heavily damaged communities and helping policyholders in Lumberton and Fayetteville, NC.

'We know that many of our policyholders may not have been able to assess the damage to their homes or autos yet,' said Mark McGillivray, senior vice president, Allstate Claims. 'We are here and ready to help. Our top priority is helping customers through the claims process so they can rebuild or restore their property as quickly as possible.'

Meantime, Allstate policyholders can file a claim and begin the claim process by calling 1-800-54-STORM (1-800-547-8676), contacting any Allstate agent, using the AllstateMobile app or logging on to Allstate.com.

Allstate mobile claim centers are specially equipped motor coaches designed to go into impacted areas quickly after storms happen. They are set up as temporary claim locations to assist Allstate policyholders start the claims process. The units are equipped with satellite phones, wireless data access, generators and even bottled water and teddy bears for kids.
