ALSEA ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF THE

NEW DIRECTOR OF ALSEA MEXICO

Mexico City, December 8, 2017. Alsea, SAB de C.V. (BMV: ALSEA *) the leading operator of Quick Service Restaurants, Coffee Shops, and Casual Dining establishments in Latin America and Spain announces that in order to strengthen the management team in Mexico as of January 1, 2018, Gerardo Rojas will assume the position of Director of Alsea Mexico, while Renzo Casillo will focus on the General Management of the company.

A year after having taken over the role as Alsea's CEO and having completed his immersion process, which included leading the brands of Alsea Mexico, Renzo has acquired a solid knowledge of the company's business and culture, so that he can now focus fully on the global strategy and growth.

On the other hand, to capture all the opportunities that exist in Mexico and to continue growing in terms of market penetration and leadership, Gerardo Rojas will take over the operations of Alsea Mexico, which represent 56% of Alsea's total sales.

Gerardo joined the company over 15 years ago, leading the entrance of Starbucks in the country and promoting the growth of the brand until reaching the opening of the first 350 units of the 630 currently in operation. Subsequently, he was in charge of Domino's Pizza Mexico, being a key player in the re-launch of the brand and currently he leads the Vips team since its acquisition in 2014, leading the integration process to Alsea's business model, as well as its growth and evolution branded.
