Alstom has been awarded a 9 year maintenance contract with SJ for Västtrafik´s commuter and regional trains, with start in December 2015, and a 10 year maintenance contract with Arriva for Östgötatrafiken´s commuter trains, with start in June 2015.

Alstom will be responsible for maintenance of 63 electrical multiple units from Västtrafik, where of 22 Coradia Nordic manufactured by Alstom . The trains will operate lines in the Gothenburg region and produce approximately 6 Mkm per year. 

Alstom will be responsible for the maintenance of 19 electrical multiple units, where of 13 Coradia Nordic manufactured by Alstom. Maintenance will be managed in the depot in Boxholm. The trains will mainly operate line the Norrköping region - Mjölby and Motala - Tranås and produce approximately 3.5 Mkm per year.

Since 2011 Alstom is part of the largest train operation in Sweden with the total responsibility for the maintenance of the commuter trains in Stockholm, including 135 trains. With the new contracts Alstom is now responsible for the maintenance of totally 219 trains in Sweden. Alstom has been maintaining trains for 20 years with over 200 clients.
