Altran and eMapgo (EMG) enter strategic partnership for ADAS & Autonomous Driving in China

Altran, a global leader in Engineering and R&D services (ER&D), announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with EMG (eMapgo), a China-based leading service provider of high quality LBS (Location Based Services) data for the automotive industry, to offer car manufacturers the full range of Altran's VueForge® services for ADAS verification solution in China.

This joint verification solution will benefit from Altran's ADAS design development support and capability to manage large amounts of data from on-road vehicle evaluations. It will also provide simulations to support autonomous vehicle development, leveraging SiL simulation and facilitating the data fusion of all sensor data to ensure a consistent view of the traffic situation at all times.

Thanks to this partnership, Altran can now provide a complete service in the area of autonomous driving, from vehicle set-up and automotive performance testing to full data management (storage & computing) for clients in China.

Commenting on this partnership, Dominique Cerutti, Chairman & CEO of the Altran Group, stated: "Altran is thrilled to team up with EMG. This agreement is a step further in developing our presence in China, which is a priority market for the Group as presented in our Altran 2020. Ignition strategic plan. Our alliance with EMG supports our "Autonomous Vehicle" strategy, and especially increases our expertise and offering in ADAS SiL processing, special engineering and development."

Darwin Lu, CEO and Board Member EMG added: "Altran is a strategic partner for us, enabling EMG to accelerate the introduction of its technology into the global auto markets. Traditional navigation maps used to be for people, while future maps will be for machines. A new value chain is evolving. With the joint verification service, Altran and eMapgo can help automakers in China shorten their time to market and reduce development costs significantly."
