Aluminium Bahrain BSCC : Alba holds ‘Team of Teams’ management offsite

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), a leading aluminium smelter in the world, held a strategic offsite meeting titled 'Team of Teams' for the executive and top management on Thursday, October 01, 2015 at Alba Oasis Hall to align the management team on what needs to be done to improve financial performance in the wake of the collapse of all-in-aluminium prices.

The focus of the day-long meeting was to ensure proper alignment of the management team and find ways to improve cost performance.

Speaking about the offsite meeting, Alba's Chief Executive Officer Tim Murray said:

'Today the Aluminium industry is under significant pressure not seen since the 2009 financial crisis. We are taking proactive measures to offset the significant drop in aluminium prices as well as the impact of rising natural gas prices. For Alba to maintain its position during these challenging times, it is paramount we have proper team alignment in order to achieve maximum efficiencies'.
