Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C (Alba) welcomed a high level delegation of Labour party members from the House of Lords and House of Commons of the UK Parliament.

The delegation -- comprising Lord Noon of St. John's Wood KT MBE, Lord Clive Soley, Rt. Hon Hazel Blears, MP, Patricia Janet, Baroness Scotland of Asthal, QC and Lord Patel of Bradford - is on a visit to the Kingdom to familiarise themselves with the country and with Bahrain's industry leaders.

The guests were received by Alba's Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray, Chief Operations Officer, Isa Al Ansari, Chief Financial Officer, Ali Al Baqali, Director, Power and Utilities, Amin Sultan, Manager, Reductions Lines 1-3, Nabeel Ebrahim Al Jallabi and Chairman of Alba Labour Union Ali Al Binali.

Commenting on the visit of the high-level UK Parliamentary delegation, Alba's Chief Executive Officer Tim Murray said:

"We are pleased to receive this prestigious delegation and, express our thanks to them for visiting Bahrain, and Alba. As the first smelter in the Middle East, it is a privilege to share Alba's success story as well as promote the business friendly environment of Bahrain. This visit testifies the strong relationship shared between the two countries, backed by their respective leaders, governments and people."

The delegation was given a full tour of all Alba operations and briefed about it state-of-the- art production processes. Also, a presentation highlighting the Alba's development over the past 40 years, its status as a pioneer of economic growth Gulf, global presence of its portfolio of high grade aluminium products and its commitment to safety and environment values of the company was shown to the visitors.
