Aluminium Bahrain BSCC : Alba appoints new Director of Administration

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the Bahrain-based leading international aluminium smelter, announced the appointment of Waleed Tamimi today on Sunday December 4, 2016 as the new Director of Administration.

A Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Waleed comes from a business management background with a stronghold on operational excellence. He joined Alba in 2011 as a Master Black Belt Specialist in the Operational Excellence Department. He was promoted to Manager Operational Excellence in 2013 and then made Manager Strategic Supply & Planning in 2014. Waleed was appointed as the acting Director of Administration in July 2016.

Congratulating Waleed on his appointment, Alba's Chief Executive Officer Tim Murray said:

'Waleed is another great example of developing people from within the Company. Waleed started his career in Alba as specialist in Operational Excellence and since that time has continued to embrace new opportunities. Waleed is a person who is always ready to go the extra mile and do more than necessary. I am confident that Waleed will raise the bar and deliver excellent results and wish him all the best.'

Waleed has a Master's degree in Executive Business Administration from the French-Arabian Business School (FABS) as well as a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Wichita State University, Kansas, USA.
