Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) - one of the leading companies in Bahrain well-known for its workplace safety - is focussing on boosting safety momentum during the Holy Month of Ramadan through post-Iftar safety visits across the plant.

Led by the Management team, these visits are conducted mainly in operational and hot work areas with an aim to improve safety awareness amongst the workers on heat stress exhaustion as well as staying healthy during Ramadan.

The post-Iftar visits will continue throughout the Holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking about the post-Iftar visits, Alba's Chief Financial Officer, Ali Al Baqali said:

'The Holy Month is a challenging time, especially for those who are fasting and working outdoors or in physically demanding jobs. As management, we believe in taking extra efforts to support and appreciate our co-workers. Through the post-Iftar safety visits, we are able to boost the workers' morale as well as help them to stay focused on Alba's safety objectives.'

Alba, in May 2016, had launched its plant-wide Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Summer Safety Campaign 'Safety Convoy' that focused on all aspects of heat stress, heat exhaustion and challenges caused by the hot weather.
