Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the Bahrain-based international aluminium smelter, continue to focus on strengthening its safety culture with the launch of a new safety campaign 'Safety at the Heart of Alba'.

The new safety campaign kicked-off yesterday, September 18, 2016 with Alba's Executive Management led by the Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray along with Chief Financial Officer, Ali Al Baqali, Chief Marketing Officer, Khalid A. Latif and Acting Chief Operations Officer, Amin Sultan distributing the new campaign's flyers amongst the employees at Alba's gates.

The main idea behind the 'Safety at the Heart of Alba' campaign is to urge the employees to not just think of safety but feel it at all times, as well as to work hand-in-hand with their colleagues to make Alba a safe working place.

Commenting on the new safety campaign, Alba's Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray said: 'By touching the heart to change the mind, safety has become a key priority in our day-to-day operations in order to achieve a zero accident work environment. Safety is a behaviour whose impact is felt by everyone. Our new campaign 'Safety at the Heart of Alba' not only focuses on the attitude of our employees but also on making safety an essential aspect of living responsibly.'

As part of this new campaign, billboards and posters with the key messages have been set-up all over the plant to reinforce Alba's safety principles and beliefs.
