Completion of the 250 MW Copper Mountain Solar 3 in Boulder City, Nevada

Las Vegas, Nevada (30 April 2015) - Amec Foster Wheeler announces today the completion of Sempra U.S. Gas & Power and Consolidated Edison Development's 250-megawatt (MW) Copper Mountain Solar 3 project in Boulder City.

Amec Foster Wheeler provided engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for the photovoltaic (PV) solar plant - one of the largest in the country - which was completed in early 2015. The facility was dedicated at an event held in Boulder City, Nev. today, which was attended by leadership from Sempra U.S. Gas & Power and Consolidated Edison Development, along with state and local officials and community leaders.

Copper Mountain Solar 3 is the third phase of Sempra U.S. Gas & Power's jointly-owned landmark Copper Mountain Solar complex, currently one of the largest PV solar plants in the U.S. Situated on about 1,400 acres of land, Copper Mountain Solar 3 taps into the intense desert sun in Boulder City, Nevada to produce clean energy for approximately 80,000 homes.

"Copper Mountain Solar 3 is the culmination of hard work and a great partnership with Sempra U.S. Gas & Power and Consolidated Edison Development," said Tim Gelbar, President of Amec Foster Wheeler's Power & Process Americas business. "This is a significant project in the solar market and we are delighted to deliver this prominent project, which demonstrates our growing position in renewables and clean energy as well as our ability to leverage our global design, engineering and project management expertise to deliver projects for our customers."
